I did a little guest blogging over at Patell and Waterman’s History of New York. It’s about the strange (and maybe apocryphal) association between Rawlins, Wyoming and the Brooklyn Bridge.
Funny thing is, I’ve driven by the Paint Mines historical marker north of Rawlins maybe 10,000 times in the last 30 years and have never once stopped there. But this time I was transporting my mother’s dog, Lucy, who had to pee. So, thanks to Lucy, I discovered a connection between the (my) past (Wyoming) and the present (and my future) (New York).
